Cube-OSX is a port of the open source Cube3D first person shooter to Mac OS X. Currently everything works (hopefully) except for networking. It gets pretty good performace: about 35-70fps on a 500MHz G4 with Radeon 7000 PCI video card and about 200-400fps on a Dual 2.0GHz G5 with Radeon 9600. The original Cube was like the little brother of the Power Mac G4. It was just priced too closely to the G4 towers to be relevant. I think it was a great system merely priced out of its market, and I don't assume Apple would make that same mistake if they made a new Cube (but perhaps I'm being naive). Cube Racer is a round based multiplayer racing game with cubes. Every round, all players race against each other to the finish line. Before every round, the players get to build one or more obstacles on the map. In the next round, all players have to pass all the obstacles, which have been built yet.
